RISE

Road to Independence, Security and Empowerment

Mission: Providing opportunities for families living in poverty to achieve self-sufficiency through life changing, socio-economic growth.

Vision: From RISE Participants in their own words

"To achieve goals that I haven't had the support to achieve before."

"Stand on my own feet and support my family."

"Open doors to new possibilities."

"Make something of myself."

Philosophy: People have the power to design their own lives. Sustainable change requires patience, linked with individualized tools and resources.

Rise seeks real and sustainable socio-economic growth for the families it serves, and a different approach to preclude poverty. The premise of this program is that early investment in a limited number of highly motivated families supports them to become self-supporting, reduces the long-term, overall cost to the entire community. Employing a comprehensive, strength-based, narrow and deep approach to service delivery while countering the cliff effect, helps people rise from poverty and move towards permanent economic and personal stability.

The RISE program has launched its second phase and is not currently accepting applications. Please check back later for updates or contact our RISE program manager, Agatha Moya, at 303-651-8581 ext. 2380.
